William B. Buchanan, Jr.

William B. Buchanan, Jr. is a founding Managing Partner of Brookline, drawing on a career spent leading capital markets businesses at some of Wall Street’s best-known firms. Before founding Brookline, he spent seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Lazard Capital Markets and also served as Head of Equity Capital Markets, Co-Head of U.S. Corporate Finance, and Head of the Commitment Committee at Lazard Frères & Co. Earlier, Mr. Buchanan sat on the Executive Committee as Head of Capital Markets at SG Cowen and served as Vice President of SG Cowen Ventures. He got his start in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Buchanan holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
